Copolia (Seychelles)

Weather…

The Copolia Trail is one of the most famous hiking routes on Mahé, located within the Morne Seychellois National Park. The trail leads hikers to a granite plateau at an elevation of 497 meters, renowned for its unique highland vegetation. Most notably, the area is home to endemic pitcher plants (Nepenthes pervillei) that thrive directly on the exposed granite rock faces. In addition to its flora, the plateau serves as a habitat for the tiny Sooglossid frogs, which are among the smallest amphibians in the world. After a roughly 45-minute ascent through tropical mountain forest, hikers reach a summit offering sweeping views of Victoria, the international airport, and the Sainte Anne Marine National Park. The trail has been upgraded recently to minimize erosion and protect the sensitive ecological features of the summit plateau.
