Water temperature…
Beau Vallon lies on the northwestern coast of Mahé and provides, through its roughly three-kilometer crescent-shaped beach, the most popular bathing destination in the entire archipelago. Behind it rise the forested slopes of Morne Seychellois and Trois Frères, providing a spectacular backdrop. The bay is sheltered from the southeast monsoon by its northern exposure, so the sea remains pleasantly calm from May to October, well-suited for diving the MV Twin Barges wreck or the L'Îlot rock formation just offshore. Since the 1970s, Beau Vallon has transformed from a sleepy fishing village into a tourism hub with numerous four- and five-star resorts, including the classic Coral Strand and Berjaya Beau Vallon Bay. Every Wednesday evening the beach hosts the famous Bazar Labrin, a traditional Creole market with live sega and moutya music, freshly grilled fish, and local handicrafts, drawing visitors and locals together under the palms.
