It was founded in the early 15th century, likely between 1407 and 1413, by Bogdan, a high-ranking official serving under Despot Stefan Lazarević. The monastery church, dedicated to the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is famous for its intricate exterior stone carvings that adorn its facade.
