Vrnjačka Banja is the most famous and visited spa resort in Serbia, often called the 'Queen of Serbian Spas'. Located at the foot of Mount Goč, it features seven distinct mineral springs, with the 'Vrnjačko toplo' spring being the only one in the world with a water temperature identical to the human body (36.5°C). The town's healing tradition dates back to the Romans, who established a spa for their soldiers here nearly two millennia ago. The town's centerpiece is a vast, beautifully landscaped park that spans over 2 km. Within it lies the famous 'Bridge of Love' (Most ljubavi), where couples attach padlocks to signify eternal love, a global tradition believed to have originated right here. Culture enthusiasts should visit the Belimarković Castle, an 1886 mansion that now serves as a local museum. Every summer, the town transforms for the Vrnjački Carnival, attracting over 200,000 visitors. Easily accessible from Belgrade (200 km) or Niš, the town has a wide array of high-end hotels and modern wellness centers. While popular year-round for medical tourism, the best time for leisure is during the summer festival season or in spring. The local dining scene is animated, offering a blend of traditional Serbian hospitality and refined international cuisine.
