The river course in southern Serbia is often accessible via roads following the valleys. The confluence at Stalać is a prominent starting point for various observations.

The period from spring to autumn typically provides the most stable conditions to enjoy the riverbank landscapes and safely experience the general water conditions.
Terrain & paths
The riparian zones vary greatly from flat, accessible gravel banks to steeper, densely vegetated riverbanks. Continuous walking paths are not available everywhere along the water.
What to bring
Sturdy, water-resistant footwear is highly recommended when approaching the damp bank areas. Mosquito repellent and adequate sun protection are important near the water.

Informal parking options can usually be found in the surrounding villages and small towns along the river valleys. Larger bridges often provide space for a short stop.
Safety
The water current can be quite unpredictable, which requires caution when approaching the banks. After heavy rainfall, visitors should expect significantly higher water levels.
