Artuch is synonymous with adventure in the Fann Mountains. The village houses a well-known mountaineering base camp from the Soviet era, which now serves as a comfortable starting point for hikers and climbers. From here, trails lead to the spectacular Kulikalon Lakes, famous for their emerald green waters. The village itself provides a glimpse into the traditional life of Tajik mountain dwellers, who are renowned for their exceptional hospitality. Travelers visit Artuch to enjoy pure nature, hire donkeys for luggage transport, and experience tranquility far from civilization. The surroundings are characterized by ancient juniper forests and massive limestone walls. Culinarilly, guests are often welcomed with fresh yogurt (chakka), homemade bread, and herbal tea. The best time for trekking is from July to August. Access is usually via Panjakent by 4WD vehicle, which is an adventure in itself.
