- The air here is famous for its health benefits; take time to simply walk and breathe deeply.
- Many paths are unmarked, so downloading an offline hiking map is recommended before venturing far from the main village.

Prevalla is located on a mountain pass in the Sharr Mountains at an altitude of about 1515 meters. It is a popular recreation area, especially valued for its clean, iodine-rich air, which is considered healing for respiratory diseases. The landscape is characterized by dense coniferous forests and wide alpine meadows beneath rugged peaks. For active travelers, Prevalla gives numerous marked hiking trails leading up to the peaks of Bistra. In winter, the village transforms into a small ski resort, convenient for families and beginners. The infrastructure includes cozy wooden cabins and small hotels that blend harmoniously into the alpine environment. The local cuisine is famous for Sharri cheese, a salty sheep's milk specialty, and freshly caught trout from mountain streams. Restaurants prepare traditional dishes such as flija over an open fire. The region is also known for its honey production and wild herbs. Access is usually via Prizren, from where a winding road leads to the pass in about 30 minutes. The best time for hikers is from June to September, while skiers visit from January to March. Weekends are often busy, but absolute tranquility can be found during the week.
