Getting there
This green oasis is exceptionally accessible as it lies just on the northern outskirts of Skopje, connected directly by urban and suburban roads. Visitors commonly simply walk or take a short taxi ride from the city center right to the valley's welcoming entrance.
Best season
The valley remains a highly popular, refreshing retreat throughout the intensely hot summer months, providing critical shade and cooler air. Spring is also particularly beautiful when the river swells slightly and the ecologically significant vegetation bursts into vivid color.
Terrain & paths
The walking environment consists almost entirely of leisurely, flat pathways that closely hug the gentle bends of the river. These highly accommodating trails are generally paved or smoothly packed, making them remarkably suitable for casual strollers of all ages.
What to bring
No specialized outdoor gear is needed here; everyday comfortable walking shoes and casual urban clothing are perfectly sufficient. Bringing a small water bottle and perhaps a camera to capture the verdant scenery is typically all that a normal visitor might require.

Ample parking options are generally located directly at the city-facing entrances to the park and along the immediate suburban streets. Being so close to the capital, visitors can also very easily utilize public municipal transport to avoid parking entirely.
