💡 Tips
- To explore the Bisamberg vineyards, comfortable walking shoes are essential as the paths can be steep and unpaved.
- The local Heurigen (wine taverns) indicate they are open by hanging a pine branch (Buschen) outside; check locally as their open days rotate.
- Commuting to Vienna is very easy using the S-Bahn; it's often more convenient than driving and trying to find parking in the city.
- Many local shops close around noon on Saturdays, so plan your weekend grocery shopping early.

Langenzersdorf is a market town in Lower Austria, stretching directly north of Vienna between the Danube and the Bisamberg. The town's history dates back far into prehistory, evidenced by the spectacular find of the Venus of Langenzersdorf, a clay sculpture from the Neolithic period. For centuries, the community was shaped by viticulture and fishing. Today, Langenzersdorf is primarily known as an upscale residential community, combining the advantages of proximity to the big city with the rural charm of the Weinviertel. The Bisamberg provides numerous hiking trails through vineyards and oak forests as a local recreation area, as well as an impressive view over the Vienna Basin. A cornerstone of the local identity is the wine tavern (Heuriger) culture, where numerous wineries offer their products in a traditional atmosphere. The Langenzersdorf Museum houses not only archaeological finds but is also dedicated to the works of significant local artists such as Hanak and Charoux. The location on the Danube also features leisure opportunities in the Seeschlacht area, a former gravel pond that is now a popular swimming and recreation area. Excellent connections to the Vienna S-Bahn and the A22 Danube motorway make the municipality attractive for both commuters and businesses. Langenzersdorf has managed to preserve its village core and high quality of life despite its growth.
