Terazije Fountain, Belgrade (Serbia)

Weather…

The Terazije Fountain is located in the heart of Belgrade, situated directly in front of the historic Hotel Moskva on Terazije Square. It was commissioned in 1860 by Prince Miloš Obrenović to celebrate his second return to the Serbian throne. Designed by the stonemason Franc Loran, the fountain features an elegant Classicist style with decorative reliefs on its limestone body. In 1911, during a major reconstruction of the square, the monument was moved to Topčider Park, where it remained for over sixty years. It was finally returned to its original location in 1975 to restore the historical character of the city center. Today, the fountain serves as a prominent landmark and a popular meeting point, symbolizing the architectural heritage of 19th-century Belgrade.
