Weather…

Jankov Kamen, at 1833 meters, is the highest peak of the Golija Mountains in southwestern Serbia. The mountain is part of the UNESCO 'Golija-Studenica' Biosphere Reserve, the first of its kind in Serbia, highlighting its extraordinary ecological significance. Golija is considered one of the snowiest mountains in the region, with snow cover often lasting until late May. The landscape is dominated by dense old-growth forests of beech, fir, and spruce, as well as wide alpine pastures. Near the summit are important cultural-historical monuments such as the Studenica Monastery, a World Heritage site. Geologically, Jankov Kamen is of volcanic origin, recognizable by the scattered dark rock formations. Reaching the summit features one of Serbia's widest vistas, extending on clear days as far as the Adriatic Sea and the peaks in Montenegro. The area is a sanctuary for rare animal species like brown bears and wolves.
