💡 Tips
- Drink the Prolom water directly from the public fountains; it's highly alkaline and safe to drink in large quantities.
- Book a guided tour or a taxi to visit Đavolja Varoš (Devil's Town) early in the morning to avoid the heat and crowds.
- Pack layers; due to the high altitude, evenings can be significantly cooler here than in the surrounding valleys.
- The local wellness center has mud therapies, which are highly recommended after a long day of hiking.

Water temperature…
Prolom Banja is located in Southern Serbia on the slopes of the Radan Mountain, at an altitude of approximately 550 to 660 meters. The resort is world-renowned for its unique 'Prolom Water', an extremely alkaline water with a pH value between 8.8 and 9.2. This water is not only used for on-site bathing but is also a popular bottled mineral water across Southeast Europe. It is primarily used to treat kidney and urinary tract diseases, skin conditions, and digestive issues. The medical center features modern wellness and therapy areas, including outdoor and indoor pools fed exclusively by the thermal spring. Situated amidst dense beech forests, the resort enjoys a mild mountain climate and exceptionally clean air, making it a well-suited retreat for stress relief. A local curiosity is the craft-brewed Prolom Beer, which is also produced using the famous medicinal water for visitors to enjoy. The surrounding area gives fascinating excursion sites. Just 27 kilometers away lies the natural phenomenon Đavolja Varoš (Devil's Town) with its striking earth pyramids. Directly from the village, a walking trail leads to the wooden Lazarica Church, the only one of its kind in the region. The best time to visit is from May to October, when the hiking trails of the Radan Mountain are fully accessible. Prolom Banja is easily reached via the town of Kuršumlija.
