Obiliq Municipality, also known as Kastriot, is strategically located near Pristina, the capital of Kosovo. It is the country's industrial heart, dominated by two large coal-fired power plants, Kosovo A and Kosovo B, which generate much of the region's electricity. This industrial footprint contrasts with its deep historical significance. The municipality's name honors Miloš Obilić, a Serbian knight famous in connection with the 1389 Battle of Kosovo.
