The Marijampolė Free Economic Zone (FEZ) in southern Lithuania was established in 2011 and serves as a cornerstone of regional economic development near the Polish border. The zone covers an area of nearly 78 hectares and is strategically positioned at the intersection of the Via Baltica and the future Rail Baltica railway artery. This multimodal connectivity makes the site particularly attractive for logistics companies and wood processing plants. A prominent example of the zone's success is the arrival of Danish window manufacturer Dovista, representing one of the largest investments in the region's history. In addition to tax exemptions, Marijampolė FEZ provides fully developed plots with modern IT and energy infrastructure.
