Tihovići is a village in the municipality of Vogošća, located north of the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo. The settlement is situated on the gentle slopes of Mount Ozren, offering a wide view over the Bosna River valley. Historically, the region was part of the medieval Bosnian state and later an agricultural community under Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian administrations. During the Bosnian War in the 1990s, Tihovići suffered heavy destruction and was the site of tragic events, which are now honored by local monuments and a memorial center. In recent decades, the village has transformed through infrastructure reconstruction and the arrival of new residents. Its proximity to the industrial zones of Vogošća makes it an attractive residential area for commuters. Nevertheless, Tihovići maintains its rural character with traditional livestock breeding and small-scale farming, which continue to define the daily lives of its inhabitants.
