💡 Tips
- Always hire an experienced local guide when attempting the high peaks, as the karst mountain weather changes rapidly.
- Stay strictly on the marked trails to ensure your safety from unexploded ordnance left over from the 1990s conflict.
- Bring large amounts of drinking water with you, as the porous karst terrain means surface water sources are almost non-existent.
- Start your hikes at dawn to completely avoid the incredibly intense midday mountain sun.

This mountain range features eleven peaks exceeding 2000 meters, with Lupoglav being the highest and most iconic. It is a legendary destination for hikers and climbers, characterized by deep glacial valleys, limestone formations, and ancient pine forests.
