Khuruthang

Khuruthang is a modern urban center in the Punakha District of western Bhutan, established to accommodate the growing population and commercial needs of the region. Located about 4 kilometers south of the historic Punakha Dzong, it serves as the primary commercial hub for the Punakha valley. The town is situated on the banks of the Puna Tsang Chhu river at an elevation of roughly 1,200 meters, enjoying a warm and pleasant climate.
