Kobrin is a historic city located in southwestern Belarus within the Brest Region, set along the banks of the Mukhavets River. The city's history is deeply intertwined with the legacy of the prominent Russian military commander Alexander Suvorov, who was granted an estate here in the late 18th century by Catherine the Great. His former wooden manor house now serves as a museum dedicated to his life and local history, while the sprawling adjacent Suvorov Park is a beloved recreational space. During the 1812 French invasion, Kobrin was the site of the first significant Russian victory over Napoleon's forces. Today, Kobrin is a well-kept, welcoming town with a thriving economy centered on food processing and toy manufacturing, the local company Polesie is the largest producer of plastic toys in the country.
