Grächen
Grächen is located at 1,620 meters on a sunny natural terrace high above the Mattertal valley. The village is known as one of Switzerland's top family destinations, featuring the SiSu Family Park. The car-free village center maintains its traditional charm with sun-blackened wooden chalets. Hannigalp is the hub for skiers and hikers, offering remarkable views of the Weisshorn and other 4,000-meter peaks. A unique experience is the 'Fairytale Gondola,' where Grimm's stories are played during the ride. In summer, the 'Suonen' trails along ancient irrigation channels provide easy walks through larch forests. Culinary highlights include local cheese specialties and traditional rye bread.
