Tále is one of the most popular recreation and sports centers in Slovakia, located at the foot of the Low Tatras (Nízke Tatry). The area is famous for its first-class infrastructure, attracting tourists in both winter and summer. In winter, the Tále ski resort has perfectly groomed slopes for families and beginners, while proximity to the Jasná resort (south side) provides access to more demanding runs on Mt. Chopok. In summer, Tále transforms into a paradise for golfers and hikers. The 'Gray Bear' 18-hole golf course was Slovakia's first championship course, beautifully set within the mountain landscape. Hikers can start tours from here to the ridges of the Low Tatras, such as to the Štefánikova mountain hut or the summit of Ďumbier, the highest point of the range. The region is easily accessible by car via Brezno. The tourist season lasts almost year-round, peaking in January/February for skiing and July/August for hiking. Local hotels offer top-tier wellness facilities and serve regional specialties like Liptov cheeses and game meat dishes.
