On the Mali Kosmaj peak stands the monumental sculpture dedicated to the Kosmaj Partisan detachment, erected in 1971, which is a world-renowned example of Brutalist architecture. Historically, the mountain was known for its mineral wealth during Roman times, with several ancient mines located nearby. Today, Kosmaj is protected as a Landscape of Outstanding Features and is a favored retreat for hikers and nature enthusiasts.
