Kandalaksha

Kandalaksha is located at the innermost end of the Kandalaksha Gulf on the White Sea and gives a fascinating blend of maritime flair and Arctic tundra. The city is the convenient starting point to explore the Kandalaksha Nature Reserve, known for its numerous islands and nesting eider ducks. A mysterious highlight nearby is the 'Babylon Labyrinth', an ancient stone structure directly on the coast, whose origin remains a mystery to this day.
