The Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Nemenčinė sits on one of the most historical religious sites in Lithuania, with the parish established in 1387 by Grand Duke Jogaila. The current stone structure was built between 1848 and 1855, following the destruction of several previous wooden churches by fire and war.
