Juozapinė Hill (Lithuania)

Weather…

Juozapinė Hill, located in the Medininkai Highland of eastern Lithuania, held the prestigious title of the country's highest elevation for many decades. Standing at 292.7 meters above sea level, this glacial formation prominently overlooks the surrounding landscape, until modern measurements in 2004 proved the neighboring Aukštojas to be slightly taller. The summit features a large memorial stone dedicated to the historical Lithuanian King Mindaugas, adding cultural significance to the natural landmark. It remains a very popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts who come to enjoy the panoramic views over the extensive forests and agricultural fields near the Belarusian border. The area perfectly showcases the rolling moraine terrain shaped during the last ice age.
