Ferleiten Wildlife & Adventure Park is situated at the entrance of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road within the Hohe Tauern National Park, spanning approximately 20 hectares. Established in 1979, the park has visitors a close encounter with native Alpine mountain wildlife. The spacious natural enclosures are home to over 200 animals from about 40 different species, including brown bears, wolves, lynx, ibex, and red deer. The terrain is carefully managed to reflect the natural habitats found across the Alps. A barrier-free circular path of about four kilometers winds through the park, allowing for comfortable observation of the animals. Adjacent to the wildlife area is a large adventure park covering 20,000 square meters with over 40 play structures, making it highly attractive for families. Located at the head of the Fuscher Valley, the park provides spectacular views of surrounding 3,000-meter peaks and the Käfer Valley. Ferleiten serves as a hub for nature observation, recreation, and ecological education in one of Austria's most impressive landscapes.
