Visiting
Osum Canyon is freely accessible; you can hike along the canyon or go through it by inflatable boat. Some viewpoints are reachable via unpaved roads.
Typical hours
The canyon is accessible at any time; the rafting season typically lasts from April to October. The best time to visit is in the morning when the light is good.
Photography
Photography is excellent from the canyon rim; a wide-angle lens captures the depth of the gorge. Please be careful on steep cliffs without railings.
Time needed
A walk along the canyon rim takes about one to two hours. A rafting trip through the gorge takes two to three hours depending on the route.
Combine with
Combine the canyon with the nearby town of Çorovodë and the Bogove Waterfall. The historic city of Berat is also just an hour's drive away.
Getting there
The canyon is about 2 km from Çorovodë, reachable by car or on foot. Best follow the road along the river to the parking areas near the narrows.

Wear waterproof shoes if you walk through the canyon or go rafting, as the river is shallow in some sections. Book a rafting tour in advance during peak season.
