The Bogovë Waterfall is a hidden natural gem located on the lower slopes of Mount Tomorr in southern Albania. Fed by a tributary of the Osum River, the waterfall drops from a height of approximately 20 meters into a deep, turquoise pool. The name 'Bogovë' is of Slavic origin, meaning 'Place of Gods,' which aptly describes the serene and untouched atmosphere of the site. The water is crystal clear and remains very cold even during the peak of summer, making it a popular spot for locals seeking relief from the heat. Surrounded by lush greenery and rugged limestone cliffs characteristic of the Skrapar region, the waterfall features a pristine environment for nature lovers. Access to the falls is via a hiking trail that winds through the scenic landscape starting from the nearby village of Bogovë. The area is also significant for its proximity to the sacred Mount Tomorr, adding a layer of spiritual importance to the natural attraction. Today, it stands as a testament to Albania's wild and well-preserved hydrographic beauty.
