The beach is wide and composed of a mix of sand and small seashells. To the west of the town lies the Black Sea Biosphere Reserve, which shapes the local natural landscape. Visitors appreciate the clear water, often kept very clean by open sea currents. Local dining is dominated by grilled meats and fresh seafood. The town is reachable by bus from Kherson in about 1.5 to 2 hours. The peak season in July and August is characterized by warm temperatures and a 24-hour party atmosphere.
