It hosted legendary figures such as Nikolai Gogol, Taras Shevchenko, and the composer Mikhail Glinka, who reportedly wrote parts of his opera 'Ruslan and Lyudmila' in one of the park's pavilions. The surrounding landscape park covers a massive 730 hectares, making it one of the largest in Europe, filled with romantic ruins, exotic plants, and family vaults. Kachanivka is about a 3-hour drive from Kyiv. Its remote location has helped preserve its authentic atmosphere. For a truly unique experience, visitors can stay overnight in the guest wings of the palace.
