Pakrut Gold Mine (Tajikistan)

Weather…

The Pakrut Gold Mine is located in the Vahdat District, approximately 112 kilometers northeast of Dushanbe within the Kofarnihon River basin. The mine is operated by China Nonferrous Gold (formerly Kryso Resources) and represents one of the largest mining investment projects in Tajikistan. Gold production officially commenced in 2016 following extensive exploration work that confirmed substantial reserves of both gold and silver. The project features an underground mine and a state-of-the-art processing plant with a daily capacity of approximately 2,000 tons of ore. Due to the challenging topography of the Gissar Range, the construction of infrastructure and power supply lines required complex engineering solutions. The Pakrut mine contributes significantly to Tajikistan's national gold exports and serves as a major employer in the region. The sustainable development of this deposit is a key part of the Tajik government's strategy to modernize the mining sector and increase state revenues through precious metal sales.
