Omsk Oil Refinery (Russia)

Weather…

The Omsk Oil Refinery is an industrial titan in Western Siberia and, measured by processing capacity, the largest and most complex oil refinery in Russia. It was commissioned in 1955 and today belongs to the energy corporation Gazprom Neft. The facility processes crude oil extracted from deep Siberian fields, transforming it into a broad spectrum of high-quality petroleum products, including high-octane gasoline, diesel for Arctic conditions, aviation fuel, and bitumen. Through massive investments in recent years, particularly in deep catalytic cracking technologies, the refinery has maximized its conversion depth, meaning that nearly 100 percent of the crude oil is converted into valuable end products rather than ending up as heavy fuel oil. The Omsk Refinery is not only one of the most vital sources of fuel for the domestic Russian market but also a massive export player, shaping the economic power of the city of Omsk with its endless network of storage tanks, distillation towers, and pipelines.
