Pakruojis Manor (Lithuania)

Weather…

Pakruojis Manor is the largest surviving classical manor ensemble in Lithuania and an outstanding monument to 19th-century aristocratic life. Built in the early 19th century, the estate served for generations as the representative seat of the influential Baltic German von Ropp noble family. The expansive complex encompasses 43 historical buildings, including magnificent stables, a mill, and a globally rare arched stone bridge that elegantly spans the Kruoja River. Surrounded by a lovingly maintained English landscape park, the property has undergone extensive restoration in recent years. Today, Pakruojis operates as a spirited 'living museum', offering visitors the unique opportunity to dive directly into the daily life of a 19th-century estate through artisan workshops, costumed festivals, and immersive historical exhibitions.
