Baisogala Manor (Lithuania)

Weather…

Baisogala Manor is one of the most magnificent and well-preserved Late Classical architectural ensembles in Lithuania. Built in the mid-19th century for the Komaras family, the manor reflects the high standard of living of the Lithuanian nobility of that era. The main residence is characterized by its grand facade with Corinthian columns and harmonious proportions. It is surrounded by an extensive English-style park featuring rare tree species and a scenic system of ponds. The estate also includes several original outbuildings, such as a distinctive windmill and stables. Following World War II, the manor was nationalized and currently houses the Lithuanian Institute of Animal Science. Despite its administrative use, much of the architectural integrity and interior detailing has been preserved, making it a key cultural and historical landmark in the Radviliškis district.
