The Tomb of Hafez, known as Hafezieh, is located in Shiraz and is dedicated to the famous Persian poet Shams ed-Din Mohammad Hafez. The current pavilion was designed in 1935 by French architect André Godard, built over the original 15th-century grave. The complex comprises two gardens and a central mausoleum with eight pillars, topped by a lavishly decorated copper dome. Hafez lived in the 14th century and is considered one of the most significant lyricists in Persian literature, his work being deeply rooted in Iranian culture. The tomb is an important pilgrimage site for literature enthusiasts, who often recite from his primary work, the Divan. The surrounding gardens are landscaped with orange trees and flower beds, providing an atmosphere of tranquility and reflection.
