Eram Garden (Iran)

Weather…

Eram Garden in Shiraz, whose name means Paradise in Persian, is one of the most famous and beautiful historic gardens in Iran. While its origins likely date back to the Seljuk period in the 11th century, the current layout and buildings primarily date from the mid-19th century. In 2011, the garden was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the Persian Gardens collective. The centerpiece of the complex is a magnificent three-story Qajar-era pavilion, adorned with intricate tilework and inscriptions featuring poems by Hafez. The garden's layout follows the Chahar Bagh (fourfold garden) principle, where water channels divide the area into four rectangular sections. Eram is renowned for its impressive botanical diversity, particularly its towering cypress trees, one of which, known as Sarv-e-Naz, is world-famous for its beauty. Today, the garden is managed by Shiraz University as a botanical garden and serves as a peaceful retreat within the bustling city.
