Novi Grad, historically known as Bosanski Novi, is a highly photogenic city located in the extreme northwest of Republika Srpska, set within an exceptionally beautiful natural environment. The city is situated exactly at the strategic confluence of the two impressive rivers, Sana and Una, functioning as a direct border crossing to the neighboring Republic of Croatia. Historically, the region has always been an important transport hub connecting the Bosnian hinterland with the Adriatic coastal regions. Economically, Novi Grad currently benefits heavily from agriculture in the highly fertile river plains, robust wood processing, and growing cross-border trade. Furthermore, the beautiful and largely untouched riverine landscape increasingly attracts nature lovers, dedicated anglers, and white-water rafting enthusiasts who deeply appreciate the wild beauty of the Una and Sana rivers.
