Monde Sauvage Safari (Belgium)

Weather…

The Monde Sauvage Safari Park in Aywaille was opened in 1975 and is one of the most prominent zoological parks in Wallonia, located just south of Liège. It covers an impressive area of approximately 84 hectares and gives visitors the rare opportunity to observe numerous exotic animals in a spacious and natural environment. The centerpieces of the park is the authentic African safari, which can be traversed either by private vehicle or by a special park train to provide the feeling of a real expedition. In this area, giraffes, elephants, rhinoceroses, and zebras live in vast enclosures designed without visible bars or fences. In addition to the large safari area, the facility features a North American zone with grizzly bears and bisons, as well as specialized enclosures for big cats, primates, and colorful bird aviaries. The park stands today as a key pillar of regional tourism in the province of Liège and actively participates in international breeding programs for the conservation of endangered animal species.
