The Botanical Garden of Vitebsk State University is a hidden botanical jewel and an indispensable research facility in the northeast of the country. Established back in 1919, it served the scientific investigation of the flora of the Vitebsk region and the acclimatization of foreign species. On a manageable but densely planted area, the garden today presents a remarkable collection of over 2,000 taxa.
