Bradashesh is a significant industrial and suburban center located just west of Elbasan. It is nationally recognized as the site of the massive metallurgical complex that for decades formed the backbone of Albania’s heavy industry and continues to operate today in a modernized capacity. However, Bradashesh also has a fascinating historical side: it is home to the ruins of Ad Quintum, an important Roman station along the ancient Via Egnatia, famous for its well-preserved baths and mosaics. Its strategic position at the intersection of the highway to Tirana and the route eastward makes Bradashesh a critical logistical node. The town represents a unique intersection of industrial might and ancient Roman heritage in central Albania.
