Qingjing Farm (Taiwan)

Weather…

Qingjing Farm is located in Renai Township, Nantou County, at an elevation ranging from 1,700 to 2,100 meters above sea level. Established on February 20, 1961, the farm was originally created to provide a livelihood for retired soldiers and their families in Taiwan's high-altitude regions. Covering approximately 760 hectares, the area is famous for its alpine scenery, often earning it the nickname Little Switzerland due to its rolling green hills. The farm is divided into several areas, including the Green Green Grasslands, where hundreds of Merino sheep graze freely across the slopes. Beyond livestock, the region is significant for producing high-mountain fruits such as peaches, pears, and apples, as well as premium Oolong tea. The temperate climate and expansive pastures make it a vital center for agritourism in central Taiwan. Historically, the farm's establishment marked a significant milestone in the agricultural development of the island's interior mountains.
