Piz d'Albris is a prominent mountain peak in the Livigno Alps of the Swiss canton of Graubünden, reaching an elevation of 3166 meters. Located south of Pontresina, it belongs to the mountain range situated between the Val Bernina and the Val da l'Acqua. The mountain is particularly famous for its ecological significance as it hosts one of the largest ibex colonies in the Alps. Geologically, the summit is formed by the rocks of the Austroalpine nappes, creating a rugged and rocky terrain typical of this part of the Engadine. Climbing the mountain is a popular activity during the summer and autumn months, with marked trails leading to the top from the Bernina Pass road or Pontresina. The summit has a wide-open view of the neighboring Bernina Range and the expansive Morteratsch Glacier. In modern times, Piz d'Albris stands as a symbol of successful wildlife conservation and the reintroduction of the Alpine ibex.
