Laško is inextricably linked with the Pivovarna Laško brewery, which has been producing one of Slovenia's most popular beers since 1825. In addition to beer, the town is known for Thermana Laško, a modern wellness center with a striking glass dome located right on the banks of the Savinja River. Tabor Castle towers over the town and now houses an excellent restaurant and a wine cellar with views of the valley. Every July, the town transforms into a massive festival venue for the 'Beer and Flowers' festival, featuring music and floral arrangements. The surrounding area features numerous opportunities for hiking, such as the local Hum hill, which provides a fantastic panoramic view. The combination of brewing culture, wellness, and outdoor activities makes Laško a versatile destination.
