Crni Vrh Peak (Serbia)

Weather…

Crni Vrh (Black Peak) near Bor is one of the most significant elevations in eastern Serbia, reaching a height of 1043 meters. Its name derives from the dense, dark coniferous and beech forests that cover the mountain in deep green throughout the year. Strategically located between the towns of Bor and Jagodina, it is of volcanic origin, explaining the mineral-rich soil composition of the region. In the second half of the 20th century, Crni Vrh was developed into a ski center and today features several slopes and ski lifts attracting winter sports enthusiasts from across the region. Besides winter sports, the mountain has excellent opportunities for hiking and mountaineering in pristine nature. From its plateau, there is a wide view of the Bor basin and the surrounding karst mountains. The flora is extremely diverse, hosting numerous protected plant species of the Serbian mountain world.
