Rusumo is a town in the Eastern Province of Rwanda, right on the border with Tanzania. The town is known for the Rusumo Falls, a series of waterfalls on the Akagera River, and the border crossing to Tanzania. This border crossing is the most important for trade along the central corridor, which connects Rwanda to the Tanzanian port of Dar es Salaam.
