Water temperature…
Nakhal is a wilayat in the South Al Batinah province with about 35,000 inhabitants, located about 120 kilometers west of Muscat at the foot of the Jebel Akhdar Mountains. The city's landmark is the distinctive Nakhal Fort, built on a rocky outcrop, the oldest part of which dates from pre-Islamic times (before the 7th century). The present complex was expanded in the 17th century during the Yarubi dynasty and later remodeled in the 19th century under Imam Said bin Sultan. About 5 kilometers from the fort, the hot spring of Ain A'Thawwarah gushes from the mountains, its water having a year-round temperature of 33-40 degrees Celsius and being used for medicinal purposes for centuries. The fertile oasis with its extensive date palms shapes the landscape in the Sultanate of Oman.
