Daymaniyat Islands (Oman)

Weather…

The Daymaniyat Islands are a protected nature reserve consisting of nine uninhabited islands located off the coast of Barka in the Gulf of Oman. The reserve is a paradise for divers and snorkelers, renowned for its pristine coral reefs and abundant marine life. The crystal-clear waters are home to an amazing variety of sea creatures, including turtles, rays, moray eels, and large schools of fish. Between July and October, it is also a major nesting site for sea turtles and an important stopover for migratory birds. For this reason, access to the islands is restricted during the nesting season (May to October) to protect the wildlife. Day trips, organized from Muscat and Barka, take visitors to the best diving and snorkeling spots. The islands themselves are rocky with white sandy beaches, providing a pretty backdrop for a day on the water.
