The Koprivnica Forest is situated in the eastern part of North Macedonia, near the town of Pehčevo in the Maleševo Mountains. This dense woodland area is predominantly composed of ancient beech and pine trees, forming a vital ecological corridor in the region. The area is renowned for its hydrological wealth, featuring seven distinct waterfalls located along the course of the Bregalnica River's tributaries. One of the most significant biological features is the nearby Judovi Livadi site, which hosts the rare insectivorous plant Drosera rotundifolia. Historically, the region was an important center for timber and resin production during the Ottoman period.
