The Bosilovo agribusiness center is located in the fertile Strumica Valley in southeastern North Macedonia. This region is considered the country's 'breadbasket' for fruits and vegetables, with Bosilovo playing a key role in modernizing the agricultural value chain. A defining feature is the intensive use of greenhouses, some of which are heated by geothermal energy, enabling year-round production of tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. The local economy benefits greatly from its proximity to the Bulgarian and Greek borders, significantly facilitating the export of fresh produce. In recent years, substantial investments have been made in cold storage facilities, packaging units, and logistics centers to meet international quality standards. Bosilovo is also known for the cooperation of small-scale farmers in cooperatives that share modern agrotechnology and irrigation systems. Organic farming is increasingly gaining traction to meet the rising demand for bio-products on the European market.
