📋 Practical info

📅
Best season
The prime seasons for safely visiting these extreme altitudes are usually spring and autumn, when the weather is much more stable. During these optimal times, endangered musk deer and blue sheep are often more visible along the steep slopes.
🌅
Best time of day
Always try to start your hikes in the early morning to thoroughly take advantage of the crisp mountain air and optimal lighting. Mountain wildlife is typically most active during these early hours as they forage closely among the rocky terrain.
📜
Etiquette
Make sure to always stay on the established trekking routes and deeply respect the fragile habitat of the local wildlife. Do not leave any trash behind, firmly avoid loud noises, and never attempt to approach the wild animals unnecessarily.
🎒
What to bring
Excellent and highly reliable trekking gear is absolutely essential for this tough environment. Wear warm, weather-resistant clothing in layers, sturdy mountaineering boots, and bring strong binoculars to observe animals from a safe distance.
🧭
Getting there
The region is extremely remote and primarily accessed through physically demanding, multi-day trekking expeditions. Entering this sensitive protected area generally requires securing special permits and the expertise of certified local guides.
🦌
What to expect
Spotting wildlife in this exceptionally harsh mountain environment is quite rare and demands significant physical endurance. Take frequent breaks, scan the rugged slopes with your binoculars, and remain deeply patient even during bad weather.
