- The currents where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean can be strong. Swim only at guarded beach sections.
- Hire a Grand Taxi from Tangier to get here, and negotiate a price for the return trip in advance.
- The Caves of Hercules are very close. Visit them early in the morning to avoid tourist buses.
- The wind often blows strongly from the Atlantic here. Bring a light jacket for the evening, even in summer.
